About My Home Jankaari

Helping people build homes with clearer information

My Home Jankaari is a home-construction knowledge and calculation platform created to make measurements, material estimates and technical conversations easier to understand.

01

Why the platform exists

A homeowner often receives information from drawings, contractors, suppliers and online videos in different units and with different assumptions. A small misunderstanding can become a large cost when it is repeated across an entire floor. My Home Jankaari brings calculations and explanations together so the user can see how a result was produced.

The goal is not to replace a professional. It is to help people prepare better questions, organize preliminary quantities and recognize where expert confirmation is necessary.

02

Our content balance

Approximately 60% of the platform is designed as detailed tutorials and answers. Twenty-five percent is interactive tools, including calculators and account features. The remaining 15% is reference and comparison content such as tables, specifications, glossaries and frequently asked questions.

This balance prevents a calculator page from becoming three unexplained input boxes. Every important tool is surrounded by definitions, formulas, examples, material context, accuracy tips and related learning.

03

Designed for Indian construction conversations

The platform uses examples familiar to Indian homeowners, including 50 kg cement bags, common brick dimensions, square feet, millimeters, rupees and the mixture of metric and imperial units found in everyday site work.

Regional practices and product specifications still vary. For that reason, the guides encourage users to verify a sample, supplier data sheet, approved drawing or local requirement rather than treating one market convention as universal.

04

Transparent calculations

A trustworthy planning tool should show its formula and assumptions. Inputs are normalized across inches, millimeters, feet, yards, centimeters and meters, then passed to clearly defined calculation functions. Wastage remains visible instead of being hidden inside the answer.

Worked examples allow visitors to reproduce the logic. Where a tool uses a planning rule rather than an engineering design method, that limitation is stated plainly.

05

Editorial standards

Articles should be original, readable, useful and reviewed for technical boundaries. Writers must separate general education from structural, legal, electrical, medical or safety advice. Claims that can change should be checked against appropriate current sources before publication.

The admin system includes titles, slugs, excerpts, categories, image alt text, meta descriptions and keywords so the editorial team can improve both accessibility and search presentation without weakening the article itself.

06

Technology and accountability

The website uses a PHP interface with a MySQL backend. Public reading remains fast and approachable, while account, blog and administrative actions are protected through server-side validation and role checks.

Technology is only one part of quality. Clear correction channels, careful access, tested backups and honest limitations are equally important to the platform's long-term credibility.

07

Build the resource with us

Homeowners, architects, engineers, contractors, manufacturers and educators can suggest corrections or topics. Useful contributions should include the affected page, the exact point to review and a reliable supporting reference.
